Monument du Saint frère André

Saint Brother André, founder of the Saint-Joseph Oratory of Mount-Royal, was born and baptized in Mont-Saint-Grégoire in 1845. Deceased in 1937, Saint Brother André was beatified on May 24th, 1982, and canonized on October 17th, 2010. In 1945, a monument standing in hommage and that has since become a pilgrimage site was erected in his memory. A bronze statue representing Saint Brother André can be found on Saint-Joseph street, near the church and municipal offices.
